            The foundation stone for Degree College was laid in 1993 by Sri Dr. P.V.Ranga Rao, Minister for Education, Museums and Archaeology, Govt. of Andhra  Pradesh and was inaugurated the college in 1994 by Sri Konijeti Rosaiah, Minister for Finance and Health, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.  Later, a three storied building of the degree college was constructed for multi purpose, on the west side of the building namely Sri Majety Guravaiah Auditorium.
